Markdown Monkey's goal is to provide you with great deals on the web. The site's primary focus is computers and electronics, but that doesn't mean I won't post other great deals if I know about them. This site is designed to be easy to use by following three simple rules:
- Keep Navigation Easy
The first thing you see are the deals. There are no splash-pages, pop-ups, pop-unders, click-throughs, etc. Deals can be sorted by category or retailer.
- Only Post Real Deals
If an item is marked down from $100 to $80, that sounds pretty good. But, if that same item can be bought at another respectable e-commerce site for $75, it's not really a deal.
- No Expired Deals
All expired deals and coupon codes are removed from the website nightly. Sorting through deals that you can't use is just a waste of your time.
On Aril 12, 2006 I added a new section to the website called
Coupons & Price Drops. Here you can find current coupon codes for a growing list of online retailers. When available, I will also list the twenty most recent price drops from their inventory. Unlike the items listed in the
Deals section of the website, these price drops have not been compared to prices at other online retailers and may not always be the best price available on the web for that specific item. I still feel that this information is valuable, especially for users who have a few favorite retailers where they frequently shop.
